On the 15th of August 2019, one of the first automated vehicles to hit Queensland took a sneaky drive through Shailer Park.
The Renault ZOE2 took a six Kilometre drive through Shailer Park venturing on public roads, through roundabouts and across streets. The Queensland Government is planning to roll out a Cooperative and Highly Automated Driving Program in the coming years. This program is aimed at ensuring the roads and drivers are equipt to support the introduction of Automated Vehicles into the future
The Renault ZOE2 was built in France however supported by Queensland based research and development. This technology will be on display at the Queensland University of Technology (QUT) Robotica Event on Sunday the 18th of August 2019.
