The Olympic Bid for Logan
Logan has not been forgotten in the bid for Queensland to host the Olympic games in 2032. Logan City Council has already contributed to $115,000 and assisted in feasibility discussions since last year.
The Premier, Annastacia Palaszczuk is still deciding if Queensland can afford to host the Olympic games and an answer is expected next year.
On the 5th of August 2019, the Premier made an announcement at the Logan TAFE community conference stating that the government is scoring Logan for appropriate sites for a boxing arena that would be a similar size to the one in Coomera.
If the State of Queensland does put forward a bid to host the 2032 Olympic Games, it is expected that Logan would also be in the running ton hoast BMX events.
